settle this argument...a friend of mine says deer hunting is mostly luck (he is an experienced hunter). i believe luck favors the prepared. We were trying to put a percentage on it. he says 30% skill 70% luck. i think just the opposite. who is right??.

Just wondering on average how long a shed antler will last in the woods? I know they are usually chewed up by rodents. Found one last week that is a mirror image of a heavy racked 8 point i shot in January 2010. The bucks rack had a distinct shape that leads me to believe the shed I found was his. Just find it hard to believe it survived for 2 years...no chew marks, just a little bleached out.
