I had a great two days fishing with Capt. Ed Pitre aboard the Southern Pride. We landed several limits and many different species. We had 3 places on the board and all of the Seacor Marine Fishing team went home with a little something from the event. Started out the day decent with great conditions to catch a few big bull reds and sharks. Not hitting any of those in the pass we started working our way south for some mangrove snappers and or red snappers. Well I was a little disappointed to say the least with the trout cooperation on Thursday and Friday, but still managed to put together a decent catch all three days. After two days of wind and dirty water at almost every stop found a few nice trout to help fill the box and plenty of hungry reds on Saturday to make it a fun filled weekend. 35 trout on Thursday, 15 trout on friday and 15 reds on.... Fished Saturday morning out of my 22' Century Bay boat and caught our 4 man limit of red snapper approximately 8 or 9 mangrove snapper and a few vermillion snapper to round off the day. Took a group of customers today to do some redfishing and wound up catching alot more species than intended but had a great time doing it... We had 20 trout, 6 reds and more big drum than we wanted to fool with. All the bull drum were released to fight another day. Once again Cuda Scheer has done a great job of taking out a group of fisherman and limited out before lunch. We had a 5 man limit of redfish, 10 drum, 1 flounder, and 6 trout.

Night started out very slow considering the full moon and supposedly very good tidal movement. We caught approximately 30 nice trout before midnight then it turned on and we finished up a 3 man limit in hour and a half after midnight. A few reds mixed in the bunch too. All in all good safe night and pretty cool out with the tropical storm we had approaching...LOL

Have been getting some really horrible reports considering the weather conditions lately, but had to try for myself last week and glad I did. The full moon and tide were right for a late afternoon and early evening trout slam. Cannot wait to do it again soon. We caught 100 specs and a few white trout to fill up the 120qt ice chest and were home a little after midnight. It was a litt.... Read More

I keep hearing that the areas surronding all the areas I love to fish are closed due to oil but haven't seen my first spot of oil after covering alot of ground. We had a very good trip last friday as did a few friends/customers who came along after us did. The long run for mangrove snapper paid off also as we had around 20 all over 5lbs....

I heard a little fishing report after an almost scratch in Lake Boudreaux Saturday morning that led me to the DU... Boy did it pay off. Aboard the super fast go-devil surface drive this morning was Captain Ricky 'Speck Chaser' spinner bait Brondem and we put a hammerin on the reds thru a few rain squalls. What a fun day on the 'DU'. Those mud motors are awesome....
I am planning a trip this coming Sunday the 16th of May out of Grand Isle. The LDWF has it open as of right now to head out of the pass and head due south for some mangrove snapper. Does anyone know if we will be stopped or told to throw our fish back prior to me wasting a couple hundred dollars on a trip. This closing and reopening is a joke and really costing the state tons of money fr.... Read More

After two very successful fishing trips I believe all the stories I have read on here and heard about Cuda and Stu Scheer. Fishing was about as good as it gets last weekend. We had to wait out the weather a few times prior to leaving and coming in, but after careful planning on bait location and also fishing grounds we were able to slam the big ones. I had a great time fishing with Captain Cuda Scheer who is on the water more than the fish are in the water. We managed a couple of really nice fish both days th.... Read More

Started out the day very early slammin the trout with 68 fast and furious in the surf before the sun was up on plastics. Then headed out to the West Delta block and slammed the snapper and mangroves and misc other bottom fish. Caught a really nice king mackeral on a sardine in about 150' of water. Went out Saturday to slick calm and smoldering hot conditions. The rip that we fished earlier in the week must have moved a good bit further to the north east as we could not find it after a few hours of running around rig hopping for A.J.'s and Grouper. One of the best days trolling ever for me personally. We had a white marlin crash baits at sunrise, caught 20 bull dolphins, 1 wahoo, and landed my first ever sailfish.

This could be the worst dealing I have ever had with a company before in my life.
