Closed issue clarified
One more time: There has been plenty of 'air time' in the past given to those who disapprove of CCA, and now it's time to move on. As Hopper has eloquently stated (thanks, bud), it's just beating a dead horse and people get tired of it.
There are so many positive things to talk about (let's hear those fishing reports, let's start talking about the upcoming hunting season) and so many other issues related to the sport we all love. That's why people come to this site. That's why LouisianaSportsman.com is so huge (more than 20,000 unique visits every day). It's certainly not to read for the 1,000th time the criticisms of CCA.
We have therefore made a decision that piling on CCA every time they make an announcment will not be allowed because we want them to let our users know about their events (believe it or not, there are many who support the organization).
If there are developments that bear some discussion about CCA, feel free to start a fresh thread. But derogatory comments attached to CCA announcements will be deleted.
Again, we disapprove of some of CCA's stances (as our coverage of the bowfishing and water-access issues proves) and support them on others. We leave it up to our users to decide for themselves whether or not to support this organization.
This thread is being locked, and any new threads on the subject of our policies on this matter will be deleted without comment. Let's move on and talk about all the positive things we all love about this sport.
In all likelihood they are still going to close it early. ....
