Where is the best public land for spring turkeys in southeast Louisiana or southwest Mississippi? I started turkey hunting last year and even though I still haven't killed one, I still had a successful season. Still amazing to hear one rattling the woods before daylight. Has anyone been having success with any 'doe in heat' products? I have been putting out code blue doe in estrous for my last few hunts and I can't say it's helped. I know it's not magic and I've seen it work on bucks in the past. Hit me with some successful stories. I know the rut is in full swing here so I guess persistence may pay off soon.

Is anyone else having trouble seeing deer? With a massive acorn crop getting the deer to come to corn or rice bran has been impossible, but no one in my lease has been seeing deer even in the hardwood bottoms. Today 2 does came into my 10acre clover plot at 3:45. They....
I plan on making a trip to Slidell and launching at the rigolets landing. What's the latest that way? Haven't been in a few years but really looking forward to it. Any advise is greatly appreciated.
