Well day two is in the books. Picture below of what I have done so far.
What you see here should have been done in one day. But OMG it takes forever to move the material to the spot. Fully half of my 1.5 days of work on it so far amounted to .75 days moving material and .75 days of actual work. That includes breaks to keep from dying.

Whew! I am tired. Toni (youngest daughter) and I worked for 7 hours on this, today. Well she went swimming in Coles Creek once we got the thing steady so I didn't need anyone to hold anything anymore.

Get a calk gun full of Liquid Nails and put that on the....
GMFMC has recommended that 30b be removed and regional red snapper management be implemented. This is a step in the right direction. NMFS has not yet implemented these changes so it is not a done deal.
Why the change of heart? Maybe just throwing us (recreational fisherman) a bone to try to squelch the outrage of the NMFS mismanagement!!! Maybe they are bending to the pressure that is.... Read More

My gun (savage 110 bolt action 30-06) has a problem. When I tried to load it yesterday morning I could not get the bolt to close. Extracting a shell is tough once you tried to close the bolt with a bullet in the chamber.
Basically you can work the bolt just fine when cycling the gun with no ammo. But the bolt goes forward but does not close with a bullet in the chamber. My gun got caught in.... Read More

Hunted Monday and Tuesday and not much to tell. Saw a total of 10 deer all in one evening. The other three hunts a big zippo! Man sitting in a tree takes it out of ya some how.

Well saw a good buck on the drive to my hunting land early this morning. Flushed turkeys roosted over little creek. I was late getting to stand an scared up a deer 30 yards from stand. grrrr... The a few hours later 4 doe came by me. Only 3 left hehe. See picture.

Strange fish caught by a guy I know via the internet. He sent it to me for identification. It was caught while deep jigging. I had never seen one of these before. Quite a unique fish.

Made a trip to the Mardi Gras rig for the first time this year. (probably the last as well) Reports I have gotten before hand had not been the usual stellar reports but we had a pretty decent trip. The season is wearing on and the heat is starting to build but the bass are still biting. Went fishing Monday evening with a couple of my nephews and although we didn't have long to fish we managed to put a few bass in the boat. Also had one white bass and a channel catfish.

Season and limits haven't been set but 3 fish per day FRI/SAT/SUN For a number of months is a rumor going around.

Burning stumps sure can make for pretty lights. Looked like some sort of Christmas decaration after one side caved in (after this pic was taken). Looked like a lit up snowman when viewing the inside. All white from the glowing ash!
