Dularge fishing is on fire, and the weather is great. Yes the wind has been blowing but, we have adapted and catching! I still have Thursday this week open and will start a 'walk on' trip, 4 people max. So if you don't have friends to share a trip with you I will find you some! These trips are always fun! Great to be back in the water today! Woke up to 20 mph winds this morning thinking it would be a tough day? Launched the Blue Wave and idled up to Jug's landing at 5 am to find my crew there early and ready! Mr. Wayne Forrestor and his son in law Steven Louque jumped on board and off we went.

Well, you can see what Terry did to my new boat last week! This week is my turn. Boats Unlimited just finished the the 20 hour service and the Pure Bay and 300 Yamaha is ready for some hot Dularge trout action!

Finally got the new Blue Wave home to the DU!
Friday was a solo trip putting a few break in hours on the new Yamaha. Ran all over Dularge catching small trout and finding dirty water everywhere. Probably could have measured real close and kept a few but didn't.
I called my Saturday crew and informed them of the conditions but, they were pumped and wanted to fish anyway, so we did.

I had the choice to party with ‘Da White Man” or stay in....
We had 2 boats running on this very cold day and we didn't see any other boats out today, TOO COLD & TOO WINDY to fish but, the fish didn't care! All big trout today, no throw backs.

Family day today on the DU. Had my son Terry and my brother Randy on board the Catch Dat Too to day for some great trout action. Two stops is all it took to get it done. First stop had fish coming in on the first cast, wasn't crazy fast action but, steady. We had 31 trout on ice when the wind came up and blew us off the reef. We moved further into the marsh and bayous to escape the wind.

I just got home tonight, had no internet service at the camp for some reason so I won't bore everyone with a late report. I had a great time running with the team for the Cowboys & Cajuns Rodeo. Fished Friday and Saturday with some great people from Texas and some really fun bull riders!

Got me a quick and easy one man trout limit early this even though my trolling motor broke. Had planned on going for a Dularge Grand Slam today sense I wasn't in a hurry to escape the heat but, couldn't really fish Reds and Bass without a trolling motor.

Is this the weather we have been waiting for or what!! I'm pretty sure the trout are just as excited about it as I am. The next few days should be awesome. Got a late start Friday leaving the dock at 7:30 after a thunderstorm for a solo trip. Headed into the marsh, with more storms all around I wasn't going offshore. It paid off though, got my one man trout limit by 9:30 before getting run in by another storm. Staying to catch that last fish caused me to get wet before reaching the dock.
