Has anyone ever brushed their duck blind with palmetto leaves before? Been trying out different things for years but was thinking of trying out a base layer of palmettos and then maybe layering some cattails over that.
Just seeing if anyone has had any experience brushing blinds with palmettos before and if you would recommend it.

May be a dumb question but for hog hunting is there a specific season/regulations on WMAs? Thinking about making a few hunts for hogs in the next couple of weeks on a few different WMAs but dont know if they have a season. I know they are a nuisance and on private land you can hunt them year round but I just was not sure what the policy is for public land for when you can or cant hunt them and.... Read More

You cannot hunt hogs on WMAs during spring squirrel....
Anybody known any good guided duck hunting services? Any stories of good experiences and or bad experiences are more than welcome!

What part of the state?
So me and my buddies are going fishing at Lake Verret on this upcoming Friday. I was wondering what kind of fish to expect to catch there (or what is biting the most) and what would be the best methods to catch them. sheburne is probably good for them.

We used to use the Stinger hollow points and they work....
I am planning on going hog hunting after bow season for deer and I was just wondering what were some good strategies for bagging a hog. Such as when they are most active and what type of gun would be best to use (I have a .22 rifle and a 12 gauge shotgun)? Went hunting in a rice pond in Gueydan Saturday Morning with my dad and uncle. Limited out before 7am!! 17 geenwing teal and 1 bluewing. Teal in the thousands very very few big ducks though.
I do a lot of hunting in the New Iberia/St. Martinville area. I was wondering if there were any good signs out there or in the surrounding areas for ducks or geese. We had a really poor season last year but we saw tons of ducks we just couldnt get any near our pond so any news on where the ducks are would be very appreciated!
