I have a Kenner 2103 and am wondering how hard it is to get to the fuel tank to change out the fuel gauge sending unit. Has anyone done this before?

Thanks

On opening day of Area 2, I sat in my stand for about 4 hours that morning seeing nothing. That afternoon about 2pm, I crawled back in my stand with a light north wind blowing. This stand sits on a new clear cut, so I wasn't watching too much to the south of me due to the lack of trees. About 4:30pm I heard a deer grunt a couple of times and I grunted back, but after about 30 minutes of.... Read More

My dad has 20 plus pine trees that he is wanting removed from his property. The only cost is an affidavit clearing him of any injuries that may happen on the property while cutting the trees. If you or someone you know is looking send them my way.

Trees are located south of Jennings, La.

Inshore Fishing in Southwest Louisiana
I have a friend coming in from Georgia next weekend that wants to catch some reds. Can anyone point me in a general direction to where we might be able to catch a few. Looking around Calcasieu Lake, Mermantau River or Rockafella.

Thanks

Just an FYI for those of you that used to launch out of Talens Landing south of Lake Arthur. The launch is now closed, the company that owned Talens has sold them to Martin Energy Services and said the launch is too much of a liability to keep open. Now instead of a 20 minute boat ride to my camp, I will have an hour boat ride.

Found this interesting. The average total of civilian firearms in the U.S. is 270 million with an average of 88.8 people owning a firearm out of every 100 people.

Does anyone know if the Bayou Runner boat are still being made and if so where is a dealer? My uncle is looking for one to use for crabbing and alligator hunting.

Thanks

When I came online, I was reading the post and went to comment. I made the comment and when the page came back up, it had me logged as shanejoesph. Now this is on my personal computer that no one else uses, so how did this happen? When I realized it, I deleted the post and logged onto my user name.

I have a 90 hp Mercury Optimax that the high temp alarm goes off about 1/2 throttle, but clears above that. I have changed the water pump at least 3 times, (merc mechanic & me) and it continues to give an alarm. When hooked to the computer it is the high temp that shows up. I disconnected the sensors, one at a time to try to eliminate a sensor being bad. With the sensor disconnected the.... Read More

Guys & gals, before adventuring out on the water for hunting please make sure you are capable of handling the conditions of the waters you are traveling. Also have knowledge of your location.

I don't know all the details but I was approached by a tug boat captain that I have known all my life asking where I was headed, this was about 2:30pm. I informed him I was going make my afternoon.... Read More

GARMIN GPSMAP 420 AND 430 UNITS
.

.<b>

~ Captain Paul's response to: ~ Warren ~

Go to the Garmin web site at www.garmin and then select the ON THE WATER option. When the page appears, find the GPSMAP 420s unit and the GPSMAP 430s units. Click on the small box on the extreme right of the page, then SCROLL down the page all the way to the bottom and click on the COMPARE box.

The next screen that appears should be a comparison of both units in a side by side format of all of their specifications.

In reviewing these specifications, I noted that the only difference was the fact that the GPSMAP 430 was PRELOADED with Garminís INLAND LAKE mapping program.

The 430 comes preloaded with detailed maps for U.S. inland lakes, including 5300 lakes with shoreline, depth contours, navaids and more and the it has Garminís advanced Inland Lakes Vision features for 300 of the most popular lakes.

By going to the Garmin web site again and entering the following URL in the address bar (http://www8.garmin.com/cartography/inland/Inland_Lakes_List.pdf ) you can view which lakes are covered in the program.

Both units can also accommodate Garminís latest Blue Chart g2 Vision mapping software for the entire U.S. coastal waters. The BLUE CHART g2 VISION is Garminís latest marine mapping software.
