My little boy won't stop talking about me taking him to the Spillway to go fishing and see an alligator. I see the water is on the rise, but will the Verret area or Pat's Bay be affective much by this recent rise? I just need a couple of bream or catfish and an alligator. He wants to pull the gator in really slowly and tape his mouth shut. HA!
I don't have a boat so I'm always on the bank but I need to find a place near Lake Charles that I can take my daughter and actually catch something, preferably Crappie. She used to be my fishing buddy but she's a teenager now and loses interest quickly, help! I love to fish and need to make a few more fishing memories with her before she leaves home.
Recent transplant from TN to Baton Rouge. Looking for a place I can fish with easy access. I have picked up that BR isn't the best spot so I understand I'll have a drive. I've got a 16ft War Eagle with a 25hp so not a boat for big water and I have a 10ft kayak. I'm not picky about what I catch just like being out and catching fish. Any pointers or suggestions would be great.

Shiners, jigs and patience mixed with frustration because the wind is moving you into all kinds of positions...you and boat going one.... Read More
I had a canceled trip today so we loaded up and went Put some hours and fish on the new Skeeter. I loved my Champion , but the Skeeter is an awesome Machine. Even with the high north winds we tucked in to the east /west Canals and smacked the bass , goggle-eye, perch and Sacalait. Bass on a watermelon craw worm and the Sacalait on a black and chartreuse curly tail under a.... Read More
My son wants to go fishing this weekend. I was hoping someone could point me to an area where he can catch some catfish and bream. I live in Walker, so I the closer the better, but I am willing to drive further to benefit him catching fish and haveing fun.
Bob McNally battles a 6-lb. hybrid striped bass, thanks to a hot spot found by top angler Al Green. Chunky linesiders can be caught in open water on ultralight tackle and light line, so long as there are no snags to break the line.

Between the Banks
Capt. Bob fishes out of Leeville Louisiana for Trout and Redfish and also works the coast for those big sow Trout and Bull Redfish. He also does Snapper trips along the coast and will resume offshore bluwater trips in the near future. Rates are flexible.
