I was wondering if anybody has seen any Cobia show up offshore yet (near coast)? I have a new bay boat and am really wanting to take it out to try and catch one. Thanks.

Finally got a day that the seas were almost flat and decided to get the crew together for a trip outside. We wanted to go after Tuna, but the river water was everywhere. Ran a trip this past Tuesday with Jerald Horst to do a story for Louisiana Sportsman's Mag. What a grreat day we had. Not going to give out the details of the story but it will be a good one. Clark fished with a great group yesterday catching nearly 500 pounds of fish. They ended up with 6 nice amberjack, a 40 pound grouper, 12 snapper, 2 lesser jacks, a trigger fish and a chicken dolphin. We ran 3 trips over the last weekend...
all pretty much similar results with a really strong tuna bite... adding in wahoo a couple of days over 60lbs... Sunday we started out for wahoo since Andy had pick up 2 nice ones hours prior..., but bailed quickly seeing tuna marks on the sounder. Great catch men!
I got word today that plans are already in motion to remove shipshoal 26 (The Pickets) and all surrounding structures. Because of the rig's structures, it has become a prime fishing spot for many local fishermen. If this is allowed to happen, the sportsman of this area will surely suffer. Does anyone know who we can contact to prevent this from occuring? Senators, representatives, CCA, etc.? If.... Read More
