Are predator calls legal in pearl river wma? Looking to do some hog hunting and thought killing some coyotes and the like might be fun too. Thanks
I was wodering if anyone just uses a pirogue to hunt this area? If anyone puts in their pirogue at st james boat club or where do you? How far and how is the paddle to get to go duck hunting area? Are there any places near or does everyone hunt the lake?

Finally able to make it out for a hunt. Sadly it's the final weekend of the season. Heading out tommorow to check spots. Has anyone had any luck in Section 120 of Sherburne? I don't currently have a working motor (one of the reasons I haven't been able to make many hunts) on a 14' flat, but do have a small trolling motor. Any advice or any other input would be greatly appreciated.
Where is some good places to hunt rabbits around the Salvador WMA or in ST. Charles Parish? A buddy and I have been wanting to go get a little mess a rabbits and be completely legal while doing so.

Any advice/opinions/suggestions on hunting Sherburne WMA? I've never hunted public lands before and Sherburne is closest to me. Just looking for the ins and outs of possibly hunting there. Rules/Regs/do's and don'ts? Any advice would be appreciated!
Can someone direct me to information regarding discharging a firearm on state Land in Louisiana? I am I am tired of shooting at boring ranges. I just want to mess around with some plinking at a gravel pit or whatnot. Just want to make sure I am within the laws of the state. I live in the New Orleans Area and am looking for places to duck hunt out of my kayak or pirogue. Im either looking for public land or WMA's all within about an hour from New Orleans, and a place where I can park, put in the water, and is in paddling distance to do some duck hunting after the split ends. Any spots or advice is helpful, this is only my second year duck hunting.

well im currently a soldier in Aghanistan and ill be moving to the lafayette area soon enuff. I want to get into hog hunting being that im a huge bow hunter in ks. Is there plenty of hogs on the public lands in the lafayette area?

Some friends and I went teal hunting in the Pearl River WMA last Fri, Sat, and Sun. On both Sat, and Sun, at approximately 20 min after sunrise the game warden drove his surface drive through our decoys and up the the boat to do a routine check.
