My family has land leading to Lake Martin in the hardwoods and swamp areas, I heard a few hogs while deer hunting, seen many many tracks, bunch of spots they tore up. Does anyone know of any year round public hog hunting land that I could possibly start hunting on? It does not matter if it is a wildlife manegment area or something like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I am 38 with an 8 year old son. I would like to make a hog hunt with dogs. I have been hunting since I was a kid and enjoy watching dogs do what they were bred for. I have flat boat with a Surface drive and a 4 wheeler if needed.

This big old sow came running down the power line with fifteen others. Swampboy waited till she got broadside and laid her down. Swampboy waited for dad to go get the four wheeler but came running when the woods around him began to crackle with swine.

fill up a gallon bucket about 3/4 of the way with deer corn , 1 pineapple cut up in pieces and squeeze the pineapple making the juice get all over the corn , 1 23.9 oz of fruit punch koolaid mix poor in bucket and mix , then get 2 big highland beer cans mix with it all then get 1/2 gallon of diesel and mix that with it all let it sit in the bucket for about 24 hrs it will have a spoiled smell.... Randy Levingston is now 4 for 4 with his new Marlin .22 mag rifle. This morning he shot hog numbers three and four and could have shot number five if we didn't have to drag them out from so far back in the woods. I had my 12 gauge and spotted 3 hogs. Looking for somewhere to go after deer season. Can anyone recommend a place to shoot some hogs that not to expensive. Not looking for a trophy, just something to do.

My buddies, Casey Louis and Brandon Toups, got in on the hog action this afternoon down at the Atchafalaya Delta WMA. Casey spotted this sow shortly after taking a stand location, and Brandon was able to stalk up close enough to take the hog with his rifle. Congratulations guys!

Hello every ody. Has anyone ever done hog huntinf in Maurepas? I want to make a trip one weekend before the close of hog season but i am uncertain if this will be a waste. Also are there any hot spots or levees where tey frequent?
