We had a good trip to Larto Thursday thru Saturday. We stayed at good ol' Uncle Bud's RV Park. I can't say enough good things about that place.

These are some good White Perch I caught at the Diversion Canal on Friday, February 15th. The biggest one was about 2.5lbs. All caught on jigs.

Went this weekend and hardly caught a fish. Most sacs were....
Does anyone have any word on Saline/Larto now that the weir has failed again? Will it get as low as it did after Gustav? Shad Lake was just starting to get some lilies in it and I would hate for it to drain again.

Posting for a friend, this 11 point ran out after some does. He shot it at 120yds with a 280 mountain rifle and dropped him in his tracks. Biggest deer of his life and wanted to share it with everyone and possibly make the LA Sportsman Magazine. His name is Chance Parker and the deer was shot in Boyce, LA on leased land.

We just recently bought some property up agaist dewey will WMA and are building a camp right now. Should be complete mid november. I was wondering if ducks casn be killed in the flooded timber there. I will try to hunt that as well as deer until i can get a spot in the Lake if ever possible. Any advice on hunting ducks are deer on dewey wills. Dont need specific spots, i will scout a bit as i.... My wife and I made a trip to Saline-Larto on March 29-31. We really had a good time. We stayed at Uncle Bud's Cabins on Larto. The accommodations were really nice. The cabins were walking distance from the boat slips and the fishing pier.
