My youngest son wanted me to take him fishing this morning and he wanted to go red fishing only so we made a trip to the Prien area. A friend and I went wood duck hunting on the Houston River at the Anthony Ferry Road boat launch. We killed one, but saw a big marsh just west of the launch on Google maps that looked promising. Does anyone know who we need to get in touch with to get permission to hunt there?

Great day fishing Lake Borgne with Mike and his family, we started from my dock at Fort Pike a short run to the first spot no tide but still caught 12 big trout, live shrimp from Lake Catherine Marine was the ticket under a popping cork about 2ft. down. By the way this was there first time catching trout and reds, they did a great job!!!!

I've fished Toledo my whole life but I want to start fishing Calcasieu because it's close to home, should I launch at the salt water barrier in westlake to fish west fork? What are the regulations as far as how many bass per person and what length. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

to fish west fork i'd recommend launching at the launch....

Had a great day in the La. Marsh with some nice guys from Kentucky, the day started a little slow, had to find some clear water. We caught some trout, reds, black drum, flounder and Spanish mackle. It was there first time catching trout and reds, they did great.

Does anyone know of any good spots to go duck hunting on the Calcasieu River. I was thinking about doing a little floating down the river to see if I were to kill anything, but wanted others opinions.

U can make a float at any pridge that u can access. there....
hey just want to know at what age did yall get your kids there first gun. my girl is 6 on her birthday and had planned getting her first bb gun. is she still to young or go ahead and get it?

Went to Prien Lake-Lake Charles yesterday, got underneath some birds and wore the specks out, it was probably around 7 in the evening...lots of fun. Caught alot of other fish too...had a great day in lake charles!!!!
