A few days ago I was motoring across Breton Sound and came across a horrible sight... Thousands of big mature redfish flying dead on the surface. They went on for miles and miles. I know anyone out there recently can confirm this. I took pictures and video. The fish were stacked up in a rip line with 'pogie foam'. That nasty brown foam that is a byproduct of pogie ships harvesting. The.... Read More

I would like nothing more then to go on a fishing charter. However most of these trips are expensive, unless a group can be put together. I am not looking to go on a fishing trip now, but most likely in the summer or fall. But I wanted to see if anybody was interested in getting a few guys together in order to save on costs?
I've never been crawfishing but I really would like to go and catch enough (20-25 lbs) for a small boil one weekend. My boyfriend has gone before but not since he was a little kid and doesn't really no where to begin.
I've asked around and people tell me to either go on Airline down towards LaPlace or to New Orleans East and watch out for snakes. Either way, I don't know what to.... Read More
Made the trip Friday morning from Prairieville to Delacroix with my Dad and my 2 sons (4 & 8 yrs old). Left the house at 4:00 and was a bit surprised that it started getting light around 5:20 on our way down.
Got the boat in the water and saw Capt. Jack just as we were about to pull off. Boat is smaller so wanted to fish on the inside. Capt. Jack gave us some directions so off we.... Read More
I read The Tri Parish Times, The Gazette, and The Comet on line. All in my opinion are great newspapers. In the jeer section of Saturdays on line edition of the comet. I felt legitimate questions were raised along, with several inaccuracies.
I would like at this time to answer those questions and correct the mistakes.

My group for this weekend had to cancel so I have openings. The water in Black Bay is good, although you will find patches of river water it is just on top and the fish are still there. We had limits of trout this morning and came inside for a few reds. For those with smaller boats there are still enough fish inside but you will need to find clean water and fish the drop offs. Capt. Sean.... Read More

Wow what a wonderful day in Delacroix today. All the charter boat captains basically limited out. Some customers limited out. Then there were the ones who had close to their limit. Overall it was some awesome fishing today. Our shrimp situation is scarce again the tanks approximately have 2500 shrimp. Good news is jack spoke with Mr. Lionel and if you launch at Sweetwater he has no problem.... Read More
FUN DAY @ THE BEACH!!!!! Had the pleasure of fishing today with good friend John Hamid and Jason. My brother jumped on with us. It was another picture perfect day. We got on a good bite this morning in the sound. The fish started off with a cork 4 ft. depth. The bit real well till a red crashed the party. They slowed up pretty good. Took my cork off and bam, they ate again. Talk about a fun day..... Read More
I had a great day fishing with Travis Haynes and his good friend, Jeremy Felder. They came down looking to get into this incredible speckled trout bite that we have been having for the past few days. I told them not to be late and they showed up right on time, as we left Campo’s Marina at 5am. Armed with trout dynamite, I went to the spot that I have been fishing for the last 3 days. It was a....
