This is my first deer and I was very lucky to kill a 13 point buck with a 14 3/4 in spread. Killed in Evangaline parish on sat 11/10/12. I was very excited when I was able to put my hands on this buck. Now im hoping to get me another on soon
Hey guys can anyone give up a little information on Millers Lake in Evangeline Parish. What is the water level looking like?? We know the brim are catching but need a report on water level with the heat we have been having

Saw him on camera cleaning a scrape Saturday night and knew he was hanging out in the area. Caught him Thursday morning around 9 am chasing a doe.

Those are Rods and they can fly right through your body so....
Is anyone familiar with the 'Sunset Hunting/Deer Club'? Is it near the town of Sunset or elsewhere? I saw an ad in a Lafayette area paper for it last spring but was not able to contact them. If you have info, please pass it on to me.

Has anyone been catching any bass at Millers Lake ? Is it still being used for irriagation purposes ? Is it still covered in lilly pads ? Is there a buzz bait or frog bite early in the morning ? I have caught quite a few big bass on this pond (I mean lake) ... Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated.

recently it has come back to pool stage with the rains....
Has anyone heard of oil in Millers Lake near Ville Platte? My neighbor fished over there last weekend and said it seemed like they had oil on the water. Darn BP!!!!!

Hey guys I'm thinking of making my first trip to Miller's lake with this overcast weater we suppose to have saturday. Can anyone tell me if they have been catching there or any tips. Thanks in advance for the help.

Caught this 7.92lb bass in millers lake sunday for the tournament.There were 37 boats in the tournament,best turn out ever. It was hard fishin,I don't know whats going on there. We fished all day and only caught 3 fish. The fish i caught and the two my brother caught put us in the money, we placed 3rd and big bass. And yes i released her back in the lake. Can anyone recommend a good bow shop within an hour drive of Eunice. I need to change a cam, put on new strings, and tune a bow I bought. Any suggestions?

I had two friends go this morning till a little after....
Had some pretty weather today despite the little east wind but not a single bite at miller's lake bass fishing for 5hrs. Water needs to warm up more(middle 50's).
I'm new to the area and looking for some information on Miller's Lake. Is it open to the public for fishing? Is any permit/license needed other than LA Fishing License? Is it open 7 days week? What hours is it open for fishing? Is ther any horsepower or boat size limit on the lake? Can one fish from the bank? Is the lake good for fishing for bass, sac-a-lait, bream, and catfish?
