Can anyone identify this snake? My buddies dad caught it outside of his house in loranger. Had a few people tell me it was a diamondback water snake, but in all the pictures I've seen online of them, none have a triangular-shaped head like this one. I thought it might be some kind of subspecies of copperhead.

Went last Thursday to play with new depth finder with son.....
Going to make a trip next weekend to the Tressles and that area next weekend for the first time. Any advise on where to fish and what to use and where to launch? Any help would be great this will be my first time out there.

We fished South End of Tressle highway 11 water was....
If you launch at triple beach on southshore, does anyone know how long paddle is to trestles. I ve got a 12 foot Jackson so I should be ok out there

according to google maps its 4607.68 ft from hwy 11 to....
Considering hunting with these folks, and would greatly appreicate anyone sharing their experiences with the Dixie Ranch huning club, good and bad.
Any trout being caught at the bridges on the east side of the lake? Would like to try fishing the pilings at highway 11 or I10 bridges if there has been any action. Coming from Ascension parish. Is Dockside the closest place to launch and get live bait when fishing this area?

man iv fished there like i say 20 times and caught nothing....
Looking to fish either Lake Pontchartrain (tressels) out of Slidell or the Lake Catherine area this Friday. Any reports on either area or other places that are producing.

Today I had the pleasure of fishing with my good friend Doctor Bob Weiss who is also known as 'Doc'. Me and my son took the kayaks out one after noon on the South side of Lake P. under the HWY 11 Bridge, (May 7th), we did OK, was slow and most fish were to small, however I did manage to catch a big Red, it was fun to fight him away from the bridge for about 20 min, my son did get a legal one too but not as big as Dads, LOL. I just got my first kayak, an Old Town Vapor 10 Angler. I know nothing about kayak fishing and have never been in a kayak or a canoe. Do you guys have any advice for a new kayak fisher? Also what areas would be good to learn how to yak? Any advice or feedback would be appreciated.

Friday night I was coming back to the boat launch and had quite a few jump up around my boat. Very disturbing for me to see this. I think they came from the MS River. Hopefully something can be done to get rid of them.

pulled out of dockside last night was going to the train bridge but water was too choppy so settled for the i 10 bridge right to the right of the inlet to dockside hooked some cats. i was on the phone with my pole in the rod holder when it bent like a question mark hung the phone up and the fight was on. i pulled in a 26 inch red it was a good night for me .

my neice did the same thing she was on the phone with her....
I have fished the tressles 3 times so far this past few weeks. Every trip was evening. We have caught a total of 3 specks, 1 white trout and almost boated a small flounder. We go 100% plastic, no sea crickets (saw people with live still not catching). I cannot put a finger on why we have not at least caught a few more. I know how to jig the bridges, but we cannot find a bite! I will say.... Read More
