I work for Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge. We have recently started the Sunshine Program at Clarity Hospice, we are the only hospice facility that has a true pediatric program. Our children are limited in this state when it comes to resources revolving around end of life care. We are opening doors for these children and their families with this new program. We had a tournament this past Sunday on the Tchefuncte River. There was 12 anglers who braved the weather. In first was David Drinkard with a limit weighing 6 lbs. 13 oz. Second was Sam Jenkens with 4 fish weighing 4 lbs. 14 oz. Ricky Benitez with a 4 lbs. 8 oz. bag took third. Big fish went to David Drinkard with a 1 lbs. 15 oz. bass. I had a great two days fishing with Capt. Ed Pitre aboard the Southern Pride. We landed several limits and many different species. We had 3 places on the board and all of the Seacor Marine Fishing team went home with a little something from the event. Trade Winds Marina in Cocodrie will be hosting it's first annual rodeo on July 22nd-23rd. Categories include speckled trout, redfish, yellowfin tuna,mangrove snapper, and miscellaneous. The entry fee up until July 18th is $40/person. The Church in St. Amant will host a Fishing Tournament Saturday July 23rd at St. James Boat Club off Hwy 61. This event is a family event/community outreach. The cost per team is 10.00$ and a 5$ Big bass if interested. We will register on site. We will depart a safe daylight and return for noon for a free lunch.

This summer, Port Fourchon Marina, Inc. is hosting a four hour trout/redfish tournament every week. Will do three fish trout stringer first week then three redfish under 27 inches the next. The fish will alternate each week until the Final Shoot Out on September 1, 2011.
