Are there any Redfish Bowfishing Tournaments anywhere?
I've searched the web and can't find anything. Why don't we have any bowfishing tournaments here in the south and why not reds? We need to get something started. Over $4000 in cash and prize to be paid out no mater the number of boats. $125 a per boat. 300 Pounds of Crawfish will be boiled for the anglers after the tournament. This Saturday May 18, UL Fishing Team will be hosting the Battle on the Bayou Collegiate fishing tournament, but also there will be a High School and Open Division for all anglers. 40/boat for High School and College and 60/boat for Open. There is a big fish tournament (Bass, Sacalait, Bream) being put on as a fund raiser for CASA of SoLA. Biggest fish in each category wins $500. Kids division (under 15) will win a trophy for biggest fish in each category. The tournament will run the entire month of May. Entry is only $25 for adults and $5 for kids. The Terrebonne Sportsman's League is hosting their 12th annual youth fishing rodeo on May 4th at the Pointe-Aux-Chene Marina in Pointe-Aux-Chene (south of Houma). CASA of SoLA is hosting 'Catch' for CASA Fishing Rodeo to benefit abused and neglected children in Acadiana. This fundraiser is a MONTH LONG fishing tournament on Henderson Lake beginning May 1st.
