We went in Maurepas swamp and hit a few ridges and canal banks where there were briars and found a few rabbits . Looks like a lot made it through the storms pretty good . We did see a lot of coyote sign , guess they have to eat too .
We ended the day with 7 rabbits and a few catfish off the trot line . But it was a nice day and we had a great time .

A friend and I are wanting to make a rabbit hunt and bag a nice amount of rabbits while staying 100% legal. Where would be some good places in St. Charles Parish or in/around Salvador WMA to pick up a few rabbits?
so me and a buddy got into an epic arguement today about the number of shotgun shells you can have in a shotgun while your small game hunting (squirrel, rabbit, and racoon)

Where are people killing good size squirels and rabbits in south Louisiana? Im in Washington Parish and cant go very far. Where are the squirells and rabbits right now? Im pretty sure that the seasons open right now, isnt it?

I just got home from a pheasant hunting trip in North Dakota and I'm not sure I can adequately describe just how beautiful the scenery is nor how friendly the citizens were to us and showed us true southern hospitality. The hunting was exceptional again this year, we were able to kill our limits each day with a few sharp tail grouse to boot. Im sure some will doubt me but in 5 days we flushed in.... Read More

Found a male Bluetick coondog at my hunting camp on the MS River just north of BR, La. on 10/12/2012. He has no ID. He is a fine young (3 y/o?)dog. I will foster the dog for another week. If the owner cannot be located I will give the dog to a good home.
I have a 3.5 month old German Shorthair and I'm looking to get into some upland bird hunting. Are there any clubs or places with quail, etc north of Alexandria. Any help is appreciated.
