Just finished up with one of the very best seasons in years. Ninety percent were gray ducks with the rest being teal, scaup, mottled ducks, pintail, mallard, redhead, spoonbill, canvasback, bufflehead and even a goldeneye. We constantly had new grays in the area. Cold weather, warm weather or fog......it didn't matter.....we had constant shooting all season. We have a few dates open for the second....  Read More

Me and a couple buddies are going up to the Three Rivers WMA, what is now Richard K. Yancy, and was wondering where some of yall find success and what yall kill up there. Where do yall see a lot of ducks flying and typically what kind? Any comments will help, Thank You.

Hey yall I hope your first part of duck season was good. Im in the navy and stationed in belle chasse. I used to duck hunt when I lived in ohio but haven't been able to for about 5 years now and I miss it. I don't have a boat (just a kayak) and would love to get out one day for the second split. any info on public land I could access by foot or yak would be awesome. I would just pay a guide....  Read More

The hunt I had in Jones Louisiana was by far the best hunt of my whole life. This hunt was at megabucks ducks guides. I was guided by mac McClung the first day and the second day was by Johnny wink. While hunting they had one of the best decoy spread I have ever seen including five or more MOJOs. The ducks mainly started moving towards 8am or past and the Specklebelly geese were every where but....  Read More

Fanny's Family Hunting Club and Guide Service had a great first split in the Delacroix Marsh. The first split ended with limits of mostly greys and that was the norm for the entire split. Saturday my group from Alabama endend with a 4 man limit of 10 greys, 9 GW's, a Mallard, 2 Mottled Ducks and 2 Blue Bills. On Sunday I took my dad and we killed 8 Greys and a couple teal and redheads to....  Read More

Date Hunted 12/6/14:

With foggy conditions, little wind and high tides expectations were low and we were right. Most of the teal are gone for now. Plenty of Dosgris but the limit is 3 on those. The group was short on limits for the day. Tough hunting.

Date hunted 12/7/14:

The front passed through during the night. Over cast skies with a strong NE wind changed the game. ....  Read More

First split has come to an end. Fortunate enough to make 12 hunts. Limits on each hunt were taken with between 1 and 4 hunters on each hunt. During first 3 weeks, the hunting was great with literally thousands of ducks on our property. The last week, it slowed down substantially, but were still able to take limits. Mainly ringnecks were taken, with bwt, canvasbacks, redheads and grayducks mixed....  Read More

Have a lease and since the beginning of the season we have had poachers behind us in a small lake. We set out posted no hunting signs 3 weeks ago to no avail. I was unable to make hunts the last two weeks due to surgery but received repose that not only were they still hunting, but they were dropping buddies in a couple of different areas as well. We decided to confront them tomorrow and let....  Read More
