Help from Capt.Bob Between the Banks fishing. Stayed at Boudreaux's waterfront motel 7 and 8-June-2013 with family. 2 days fishing and 5 trout to show for our efforts. Watched Capt. SAT.-6-15-13 Fishing Report.And other light wind SAT. Went to our Camp this weekend, for Father's Day. So we Lunch out of Fourchon. Same plase same spot as last SAT. Caillou Island 50 Speckles 25 white trout for 11 am.Bate Chicken on a chang pick up a good bite then the white took over, so we went to top water bate and the speck were on. It was a great day of fishing with the Melancon family today. The grandson Jacob had a ball catching redfish, limited out on drum, one trout and one flounder. The redfish was not nearly as action packed as recent trips, but it was still a blast regardless. I had Charlie Snider's Crew down for a day of chasing trout and reds down in Venice. We found some nice trout early and worked on them for a while before turning our attention to redfish. We fished with Joe Frazier's crew in from Jackson Ms for a few days of fishing down on the delta in Venice. These guys always come in ready to get after the fish and that they did. I am looking for a place to dock a houseboat in Grand Isle or neighboring area. It is about a 50 foot barge with a house on it. I have not been able to find a place that houses house boats in the area so if anyone knows of a spot, please let me know. Thanks

Have not posted in a while but it's still on fire down here in Dularge in regards to our trout fishing. Nothing but whacking and stacking again today!! 400 trout yesterday and 150 today between 2 boats . I had Shannon Lemoine , his son Chris and his dad Paul. The crew had enough when number 75 hit the deck at 7:22 am. Capt Brad , Jerome and Pat had their 75 by 9:00 am. Everything caught on.... Read More

Tracey Hicks and his son Trey from Austin,TX fished the DU for 3 days. These guys caught everything that swims in the area. Loaded them up with enough fillets to feed an army. It was a great time fishing with these guys. They enjoyed their stay at the 'Lakehouse', especially the fried trout,boiled shrimp,corn/crab bisque and seafood gumbo. Yes sir they did it the right way!

We have been in a serious slump. Our old fishing spots are not producing the fish. We are always a day late and a bate short. Can anyone recommend some spots in Grand Isle? My kids just want to catch some fish, they are teenagers and this is starting to be embarassing.

I have a 50 Yahama 2 stroke (2008) and it idles fine but when put it in gear it bogs down and kills. I have took the carburetors down and cleaned them good. Went run the boat and it ran fine. Stopped to fish and when it was time to leave it bogged down and killed. After a while it started to run and stopped to fish again and bam it did it again. Bought a used boat with a Yamaha 90 2 stroke and had same....
I bought some shrimp the other day and there was a small crab about the size of a quarter. I used it at the end and caught a drum with it. Are there any ways to catch them for bait? Thanks
