Down in the isle. Wind is whipping pretty good. With some real choppy surf. Looking for a good spot to fish the subset this evening. Any help or advice is appreciated. No boat. Thanks in advance.
Taken a ride to Grand Isle the weekend of 6/7-10. I have been hearing the usual reports about trout on the beach. I was curious what the situation is with crabs in the surf. We have gotten skunked the last few years in June. Not looking for secrets just curious if anyone has caught any or not. A lot of extra gear to lug if there aren't any down there. Let me know what you think. Thanks in advance.
Well hit the banks again today with my buddy JLS and ended up with 55 trout caught on croakers under a popping cork. JLS couldn't believe his eyes. He was catching his own trout. No fake pictures here. But then I woke up and realizer jls was not on this trip just me and 2 buddies off my softball team. Still a good trip though
My buddy Jay and I headed out of Breton Sound Marina around 5 AM Wednesday morning looking forward to a trout slam on the rocks. We were headed out via the Spoil Canal when the motor died. We could not get it going. Thank God for our SEA Tow membership! Hot Rod of Sea tow was on his way from Slidell and we bided our time fishing on the bottom for monster gaff tops. Around 9 AM Capitan Guidry.... Read More
Fished Wednesday through Sunday out of Boudreaux’s Waterfront in Leeville and with the exception of Sunday’s wind, all of the trips were in outside waters. The key to us catching this week was the tide. I like fishing Specks on an incoming tide and despite the heavy trawling in the area, water did not clean up further north until the incoming tide picked up. Places.... Read More
The wind felt like it was blowing but the further out i went the calmer the wind got.

I took my girlfriends cousins down to Grand Isle last week for a couple days and we were really blessed with some decent enough whether and a whole lot of sun! Two of the boys had never fished saltwater before so it was fun seeing them reel in the big jack and letting them experience Louisiana's beauty. The flounder are running in the marshes right now and we were able to gig 10 in about 1.5.... Read More
Hello everyone. I have been an avid reader of this site for years. Most of that time has been with pure envy as I read fishing reports from so many of you.
I've done surf fishing and bank fishing all my life, but never had access to a boat. Well that changed over the winter with a 19ft bay boat with a 150HP motor!
My buddy and I spent the winter fishing Hopedale launching out of BSM. We.... Read More

Great fishing last weekend as the trout ate up good on Friday & Saturday and slowed down on Sunday with the stiff winds. Big thanks to our customers and the great captains that made it happen! Hundreds of fish caught this past weekend !!!Capt Josh Ellender caught over 200 nice trout with his groups on Friday,Saturday and Sunday. A combination of plastic and live shrimp did the trick for his.... Read More
I was fishing with clients on Saturday when the inevitable happened. I was barely idling in the MRGO making an adjustment for my clients, when Bam! I hit a pipe and stalled out my motor. I didn’t hit it hard and thought I’d be okay, but when I put the boat back in gear, it was obvious I tore up my lower unit. I called Captain Frank and Captain Markham to pick up my guys and continue fishing..... Read More
Good times today having Will, Brandon & Robert Russ, and Stanley Barre back onboard. The bite is good as it gets right now. We had the trout coming in two at a time as soon as we pulled up to our first stop, and the Burn Hacks were flying. Fast and furious action as the trout were eating up our double rigged Shrimp Creole Matrix Shad. The guys stuffed the Yeti full and we left the fish.... Read More
Zach Templet, Nicole Tusa, Thomas Eakin, and Alex Hazlaris joined me today. Windy conditions made for a tougher bite than we have been having all week. Our first stop only produced a hand full of fish so we moved. Second stop found a fast and furious bite almost everycast, but it was mostly undersized fish. It was a stick and move kinda day grinding to find fish. We never got on a good steady.... Read More
Great having Josh Cowart back on board with me. Josh brought his dad Greg and brother Courtney. No 25 mph winds were going to stop us from loading the boat. It was fish on at our first stop, as Courtney had the hot rod slinging the yellow mouths in every-cast. Once the bite slowed down we moved a few hundred yards and started slamming them again with everyone slinging fish in every-cast. Our.... Read More
Dularge fishing is on fire, and the weather is great. Yes the wind has been blowing but, we have adapted and catching! I still have Thursday this week open and will start a 'walk on' trip, 4 people max. So if you don't have friends to share a trip with you I will find you some! These trips are always fun! Let,s have a party on the new Pure Bay! Call me!
Had a steady trout bite today on the tracks. Almost didn't go because of all the rain. Sat at Dockside and watched it rain for about an hour. Got the boat in the water for 8am with sky's clearing. Knowing we had to be back for 11 and looking at the dirty water we were not expecting much. Once we hit mid lake and put the poles in the water the fish were waiting. Ended the day with a nice....
