I am buying a new outboard, but on average use the boat only 1/month. Is a 2-stroke or 4-stroke the better option?
I'm re-doing a carolina skiff J16. Not sure if I'm going back with original color or not. Can I buff it, paint it, then coat it with marine penetrol? What type of paint works best? Thanks
Recently my 2005 Suzuki DF115 stop peeing out the back. This happens all the time because I run in the shallow marsh normally. I can always get it flowing again by sticking some fishing line in the pee hole. Not this time. I have stuck fishing line 3 ft up the hole and used an air compressor. It now drips out. But still no real flow like in normal operation.

I have a 71# 24volt Great White. Ran it hard and slightly melted the female plug on the motor. I changed the plug, and had less power than normal, ran it for 5 minutes the other day and then nothing. Both batteries were fully charged.
Any thoughts on where to start diagnosing? Help much appreciated.

if you melted the plug then you have issues in the socket....
Have a 17' 1997 TideCraft Wildfire Mercury 150 XR-6 the transom is weak and needs to be repaired. Does anybody know what kind of price im looking at if I have somebody do this work ?

Problem usually is axle bent. Trailer manufacturers often....
I want to paint my aluminum boat and was wondering what the best process, primer, anti-fouling paint and paint to use. There is paint on bottom now. Any suggestions, tips please share below, thanks.

use epoxy paint its much harder and will hold up better....
I having some major issues with the wiring of my boat. Most of my wires are corroded 5 feet from the ends and I think a complete rewire is in order. I dont have the time to do it myself. Has anyone ever had this done? If so who did it and what was the cost? Also if anyone knows of someone that does a good job please send me the contact information.

I've got to rebuild my powerhead,but can't seem to find a serial number lookup that my number works on. Serial number is OB231438 I also need to know how to find out if its a 2.0 liter or not..I believe it is a 2.0 and maybe 1987 model year but dont want to order parts without knowing for sure. Thanks in advance..

Can anyone shed some light on the Xpress x-19. How about pro's and con's. The x-19 tournament edition seems mighty nice, but don't know anyone with one. I fish Toledo Bend a lot and a glass boat is not an option for me. Thanks!
I've got a 2000 Yamaha 75 that runs perfectly until the water gets rough.....Then it starts bogging down considerably. Get back into the smooth, it runs great. Looked for loose grounds, connectors and etc. Nothing jumps out. Any ideas ?

it is probably water in your fuel tank--it gets sloshed....
Does anyone use a Power Pole Wave Pak? I have a 10' PP Blade and was wondering if it would be a good investment to add the wave pak. I just wanted to get some feedback from those who have it installed. Thanks.

I'm in need of a bow stop for my boat trailer. No where in Morgan city has what I need. I'm thinking somewhere in Houma may have it. It's for a magic tilt trailer that holds a 19 foot bay boat. It's not the type that goes by the winch. It is free standing off the tongue area. I haven't been able to find this style online either. Any idea where I could locate this in the Houma area?
