Let's talk a little football. 10 days until Saints training camp opens and I'm so shocked--NOT!---the World champs are still getting no respect or at least not nearly the amount they should. I have not found one publication who says they will repeat. check out this article:

Former LSU QB Jamarcus Russell has been cut by the Raiders. No surprise whatsoever. But now what? Who takes a chance on him?
What about the Saints? Could Sean Payton turn the big guy around? I do believe under Sean Payton's tutelage, Russell could become a productive QB in the NFL, but there is a big 'if'. I'll get to that in a moment. First Russell was on a horrible team and it wasn't.... Read More
The New Orleans Saints have agreed to terms with guard Jahri Evans on a seven-year contract, it was announced today by Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis. Widely regarded as one of the finest young linemen in the game, Evans has started all 64 games at right guard since being drafted in the fourth round in 2006 and was a unanimous choice as a first-team All-Pro in.... Guys I hope this stuff is not true and it just a former employee out to get a buck. But I am afraid of what the implications will be should even part of this be true: Here's what WIST's and NOPF's Kenny Wilkerson can confirm at this time.
Former Saints director of security Geoff Santini has sued the Saints, alleging that senior staff members abused and covered up the abuse of Vicodin.... Read More
In the end, the chance for Darren Sharper to earn more money with the Jaguars couldn’t trump the opportunity to chase another Super Bowl ring with the New Orleans Saints.
Sharper, the free agent safety who leads all NFL players with 63 career interceptions, decided Monday to stay put in New Orleans, signing a one-year contract rather than start over with a revamped defense in.... Read More
This is a summary of the draft picks the Saint selected this year:
With the 32nd choice, the Black and Gold selected CB Patrick Robinson from Florida State University. The addition of Robinson even further solidifies the cornerback position. Head Coach Sean Payton says of Robinson, “You see his speed, size and production and spending a lot of time just throughout the process and evaluation in.... Read More
Corner back Patrick Robinson from Florida State was the first draft choice of then Saints last night. Who would you like to see in rounds 2 and 3 this evening? I am hoping for a defensive tackle or outside linebacker depending on who is available at number 64. I think they will draft a tight end and either a running back and/or a quarterback. in the next 2 days. Just remember the team we have.... Read More
The NFL draft is fast approaching. Who do you think (or want) the Saints to draft in the first round? I am of the opinion that they will trade all pro left tackle Jammal Brown for a draft pick or picks. My hope is that they get value for him---like at least a number 2. Also they could package him with their number one and move way up to pick a player they covet. Should be interesting as they.... Read More
Former Chicago Bear defensive end Alex Brown signed a 2 year contract with the Saints today. He is expected to start at the left end the spot opened up when the Saints released Charles Grant. Brown has been a very productive, consistent player for all of his 8 years in the league. In Chicago, he played in 127 games, including 107 starts, totaling 483 tackles, 43 1/2 sacks, five interceptions, 16.... Read More
The report from WWL-TV says that defensive lineman Anthony Hargrove will sign his tender with the Saints tomorrow Monday April 5th. This is very good news in my opinion, as even though for now it is only a one year contract, Hargrove was a very important member of the d-line last year both at tackle and end.
In other news Donovan Mcnabb was traded to the Redskins for 2 draft picks (a 2 this.... Read More

I just read where the NFL has sent Cease and Desist orders to several shops in Baton Rouge and New Orleans demanding they stop selling any apparel with "Who Dat" on it because the NFL owns the rights to the phrase. Since when?? I didn't realize the NFL owned any/all phrases that our fans come up with. This is stupid.
Stand up all you WHO DATS.Just wondering how you all feel.Myself I,m getting sick of reading on all these sites like YAHOO,USATODAY,&ETC. that we don,t stand a chance.I guess Benson just needs to load them on his plane & bring them back home. They all said we did not stand a snowball chance in hell to beat Warner, after we beat them guess what cards were not a good team. Then came the.... Peyton Manning, after living a full life, died and went to heaven. When he got to heaven, God was showing him around. They came to a modest little house with a faded Colts flag in the window. God said: "This house is yours for eternity, Peyton." Peyton replied: "This is very special; not everyone gets a house up here." Peyton felt special, indeed, and walked up to his.... Read More

43 years waiting for this moment. I was nine years old when John Gilliam ran back that opening kickoff. This season has been a wonderful, mystical, magical journey for me. I have replayed videos of Hartley's winning field goal over and over with he volume turned up as loud as it will go. It still brings chills to me each and every time. This would be something they could never.... Read More

For those (like me) that weren't fortunate enough to be at the game on Sunday, here's a YouTube video from a fan in the stands of the winning kick and the reaction.
Basically they are continuing a civil trial because it's gonna be hard to seat a jury the week of the Superbowl, and most of the lawyers will be out of town anyway.
The wording of it is uniquely New Orleans.
