Hunted Catahoula Lake Sunday. Checked the water level on the automated internet site. Don't trust this. It showed the level to be the same as the level when I hunted last year. Well had another great morning of killing some teal. As always I brought my best friend with me, and after the calling, we had group after group come in. Me and my boy went for his first time duck hunting this past weekend for the teal hunt.I woke him at 4 to start getting ready, and the only reason for 4 was because i know he's not very quick in the morning, or so i thought he wouldnt be(He was in a hurry that morning....). Anybody catching bass or sac-a-lait? Ive been out of woodsons a few times in the past couple of weeks and havnt had much luck.
How will Larto Lake and surrounding bodies of water be affected by the river rising the next few weeks?

Going to Larto for the first time to try and catch some sac-a-lait, staying at Larto Cabins, can anyone tell me where I can get some shiners around the cabins and if the fishing is any good right now, im leaving Wednesday and fishing thursday also.

Anyone know of any open bass tournaments coming up on saline/larto or spring bayou or anywhere in the avoyelles/rapides area?
Thinkin of going try Larto this weekend. Never been...any advice or best place to land? Any pointers for Sac-au-lait and bream? Not much of sac-au-lait fisherman, but I'm going to give it a run. I didn't do so hot on bass last weekend, so trying a new area!
Guys, I am looking for a Treeing or Mountain Feist puppy to train for squirrel hunting. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
