Found Deer Head

I was driving down the rd in Zachary, La today and found a deer head in the ditch. It's a pretty good 8 point. Looked like it fell out of a truck. Had a tag in its ear with the name Hunter A. David. I called LDWF trying to find out who it belongs to and all they could tell me is to call back Monday. I would rather do it without them if I can. Like I said its a pretty nice buck. Wouldn't be surprised if somebody wanted to have it mounted especially if its for a kid. If you know anything about this please call me at 225-937-4829. Thanks, Blaine.

Great looking horns to, I found a 3pt this weekend as well but didnt have a tag to get a name. First thing i did was post it to Facebook to find its owner. My words were the same as yours 'might be a kids'.I havent located the owner yet, but atleast we know were giving them a shot at it, I would hope if i dropped mine, someone would be doing the same thing we are.

I ended up finding out who it belonged to. It was for a 16 year old boy who was planning to mount it. His mama called me sunday and said that they saw the ad that i put on this site. They were so glad to get it back. The boy said the horns were stolen out of the back of his truck. Im just glad i was able to get the horns back to him. Thanks LAS

Stolen? LOL

Stolen from the back of the truck? LOL

Nice of you to seek him out and I'm glad the kid got the rack back. But, my guess would be it was probably propped up somewhere in the back of the truck for the whole world to see as he was driving home...just didn't do a great job of securing them.
