Our Gift to the Neighbors

Saturday 11/30/13

Great day for Team Skill-N-Talent today. Launched from Seringe's around 7:30 and hit our spot in Little Lake around 8. Started off a little slow with the water temperature still below 50 degrees, but once the sun came up it was on. Had 50 around 10:30 so we decided to go back for a quick break and come back out. Caught our second limit in a little under 2 hours. Only 4 or 5 throwbacks all day and 7 or 8 of them were 20in and over. Nice day spent down at The Island.

Limits

I thought trout had a limit of 25 per person per day? Am I wrong or can you have 2 limits a day as long as they are not in the boat at the same time.

Illegal

Rouge you are correct. If this person had 2 people in their boat what they did was ILLEGAL!! You are allowed a 2 day limit in your vehicle (if you were at your camp for the weekend) but you are only allowed 25 trout per person per day.
Personally if I was the OP I would delete this post rather quickly.

Correct

There is a two-day possession limit while on land, in your vehicle, etc. But NOT in your boat.

Just to be clear, even though you can have a two-day possession limit, you are NEVER allowed to catch more than one limit per person, per day, no matter how many trips you make in the same day.

Limits

Daily limit means one limit per day. Going back out the same day and catching another limit(same people) is illegal. That is called tripping and will get you in trouble with the law. Go back and fish for redfish and drum perfectly legal.

Wow Pretty Incriminating

This is Hilarious! Someone send that guy a copy of the pamphlet quick!

'we took a break...and went out for our second limit' ha ha ha ha

Great catch! but assuming there were only two people in the boat... I'd clarify a few things or delete ASAP.

Really???

When I saw this post,I just sat back and thought 'Really?' If you are so dumb to do some outlaw fishing and post it, with a pic of yourself for WLF, you deserve some enforcement. We all know how to do this, but being ethical, conservationist we don't. It is our daily choice on taking care of what we have. I guess what aggrevates me is that WLF will not catch or find this idiot, but will blast by me, put my rig on the bank, and come back to see my papers, jackets and fire extinguisher and not notice my USCG inspection sticker.DUH!!!
