Inshore Fishing in Lake Pontchartrain / Northshore in Southeast Louisiana
Mr Bill With some Good Ones
Some Big Ones Showing Face
Fall is getting closer and these big east winds are only going to help. We are finally starting to see the first signs of the fall lake pontchatrain run. The few fish we are starting to catch on the bridge are big. Big trout, flounder and a few schools of reds. Look for october only to get better. New VORTEX SHAD has been bait of choice. If you want quality the bridge is producing just a few but they are very solid. Trout from 3-5lbs and flounder 2-4lbs. If reds is what you want there still thick in the ponds off Lake Catherine, ICW and the Pearl.
Here are a few pics from last several days.
