Killer day in Dularge
Another killer day on the water. Leonard Adkins, Corey Salvadras and his dad Ronnie joined me today. We left the Reel Inn Lodge at safe light and ran into some patchy fog. It slowed us down but the trout were waiting. Beautiful trout today up to 21 inches. We found trout at numerous locations in various depths (2-12ft). A slow steady retrieval with an occasional stop produced in the shallows and the Pontchartrain pop produced in the deeper water. A few trout were caught using a cork. One constant was the the production of the Matrix Shad Green Hornet. Corey was stubborn but did well using a green apple tsunami but by the end of the day we had him switched over to the Matrix. In addition to the trout we put a few reds in the box and caught a number of rat reds. The gnats were out too but Swampswatter took care of that. Thanks guys for the awesome day of catching!
