Be careful of clubs in st Tammany. Email me and I will tell you one to avoid. I also live in Mandeville and am trying to get a couple guys together to lease something that won't be big but it has to be family guys. Need a place to bring my kids so I don't want the typical club. Let me know if your interested. Nothing wrong with clubs I just don't want to expose my kids to drunks sitting around a campfire.

I would advise you to do a little reaserch before getting into one escpically around the St.Tammany area. If your gonna spend the money to deer hunt make sure there are deer in the area. Livingston parish and above are al pretty good locations.

if you dont find a club to get in, there is a national wildlife refuge that runs from just south of bogalusa all the way to the interstate in pearl river. its the bogue chitto national wildlife refuge, mostly only accessible by boat however you can go walk across the lock in Sun, La at the Lock #3.

be sure if you hunt here, to read and follow the laws of the refuge. also print out the pamphlet and sign it. keep it with you at all times while on the refuge.

Thanks Jeff B for the refuge land info. I will most definatly llok into eth refuge. I have hunted refuse land and/or core land before but I just like hunting private land better sicne you never know who might be out their on public/federal land.
