Wanted to take a couple of minutes to talk about the Wedgetail mullet made by Egret baits. I have used the 3.5 inch and the 5 inch with great success. The 3.5 inch has a good tight rapid vibration from the tail on the retrieve and has equally good action on the fall. It has been producing good quality fish over the last couple of months. I have used a 1/4 and 1/8 oz jig head. I have had the best success by using a steady retrieve with a slight pause and have also varied the retrieve. The five inch I fish a little different, I fish it in deep water on either a 1/8 are 1/16 oz jig head. I use a slow jigging action with about a 2 to 3 second pause and have been getting hit on the pause. The action on this bait is unreal and as far as I know unmatched. Make sure to use a wide gap hook. I have used several colors with good results from all. 3.5 inch Glow Chart., Chart Pepper, Cajun Pepper, Limetreuse Glow and the 5 inch White Diamond/Chart, Pink Diamond, Dirty Diamond and Pink Passion.
