You might get lucky. Bring the nets and your rod. PAC is on fire with the reds and drum, so they may occupy your time so much you'll forget about the crabs. I buy a lot of crabs for my work, and I can tell you that most of the pickers or closed up right now. If the crabs were doing good right now those guys would be up and running. Wait a little longer than you will do better. Late February to mid March it will be back on.
Yesterday I made the mistake of going fishing in that area. I went to Island Rd. when I should've listened to jls an went to Golden Meadow. I couldn't catch a bite! All the other guys that were out there said that they hadn't had any luck that morning nor that evening. I guess the water was too low for the specs and reds. In some spots it was only a foot deep! However a few crabs did nibble on our lines so I feel like you may be in luck as far as crabbing.

crabs dig into the mud and hibernate in winter, if they feed at all its not much and they wont chase a bait or fight for it so catching them isnt going to be easy in the best conditions much less no water and freezing temps.
fall and winter is not a good time for crabbing, look for areas of still water where there is no tide or current to chill the water then if its a good sunny day and the water warms enough you might catch a few that decide to come out and feed a little while its warm
