Inshore Fishing in Venice in Southeast Louisiana
Good Bye 2012
Its been a long year, had our ups and downs and yesterday capped it off with another good trip to Venice. Had Carey, Dale and Jen on board. We pulled out before daylight looking for some trout but come up empty. The River came up a couple of feet and muddied things up a bit. We stopped in the Diversion and Main Pass but couldn't get any takers. Gave up on trout so we ran down SW Pass to hunt for some reds. We got out to the sandbar but it was too rough to fish the outside so ancord up on the inside. Jen had never caught a redfish before so her firt red went 32 in. we finished off with prolly the best stringer I've ever seen. 15 reds, most around 25-27 inches. Could have placed in any redfish tourney. Biggest red of the day went to Jen at 38 inches. Everyone had a great time hope they come back next year! Happy New Year everyone!
