Apparently we are all wrong. According to Andy Crawford deer hunting has never been better in La.La. land and the trophy hunting has been off the charts. According to him tensasnwr and thistleaeight are a shining beacon to the rest of the country and a model that every deer manager is rushing to copy. He's hunted some of the finest properties in lala land for 20yrs and one day he expects to kill a trophy buck. In the meantime, as a meathunter hes glad that he has so many opps to killl his limit every year before nov.
Motorboat, Andy refers to it as 'dripping with sarcasm'. I paid good money and either he is misinformed, in which case he should do better research, or he is misleading, in which case i should get my money back. Its real easy to write in a mag where u dont have to back it up. Funny how they have experts on here for ducks or navigation, but they are silent or vastly incorrect on deer.
I'd have to agree with that deerman . It seems like when dmap first started everyone was happy saying , we have 60 or 80 doe tags to fill . I guess some of the same ones are now scratching their heads saying , hey where's all the deer ? Everywhere you look there are dmap signs .
Where we are at , the hurricanes come through once or twice a year and kill most of the freshwater fish and wipe out half the deer population . For some strange reason , I've seen more deer and deer sign than I've seen in my life this year . Just makes me wonder how many deer we would have had before the hurricanes .
