Does anyone know how the bass are doing around manchac/lake marpaus area since Isaac? Are there any still out there that people are catching?

Manchac & Ruddock

We tore them up this past year so I know they are there. Using worms & jigs to catch them. To much trash in the water to use anything else really.

We were passing through manchac for a few days a couple weeks back , hunting and people were catching good on the points . Mainly the points on 51 canal where it comes out in the pass . Also the lil cuts and points off jones point near the pass .

This place will drive you crazy

One think for sure you have plenty of places to fish in this area. There are several lakes off the canal that are great for bass this time of year as the grass is now killed. Best results for me are under the hwy where they pilled up the trash when the hwy was built very shallow but holds bass in the spring. Then you can run to the lake and catch limit of trout one day and the next day nothing. One thing for sure always stop and have a thin fried catfish lunch a can't miss there.
