I'll bet I'm gonna use my pirogue not my ATV to get to my deer stand in the Basin tomorrow.

Water is the way to go admiral ... You don't have to put up with all the yahoos ! Sometimes the duck hunters shoot a lil too much but they usually have bad heads in the a.m. Only bad thing about it is if you ever get in any trouble , (hurt) there's nobody around to help you .

I don't want to start a stampede to the swamp to hunt next year which I doubt I will but it is so peaceful . All these arguments you read on here , it's pretty funny because we rarely see another hunter , or dog all year . And when we do see another hunter it's ALWAYS a friendly encounter . I will never hunt in any other place .

Yeaa Pic...we hunted 8 Point between Hwy 61 and I-10 back in '81 thru '84...it made a puddy-cat out of me...I could'n handle it !!!...they had a cook named Curly...'ya had to watch him close...he would throw coyote in 'da pot ???...cheers

Both my sisters, brother in law and mother where heading home to the north shore from having Christmas lunch at my house and took this picture. This was shortly after 3:00 pm. Notice my brother in law kept both hands on the wheel while taking his picture!!!

Happy...a little short hoppy guy at Fox 8 News would'a grabbed that pic !!! cheers
