I went hunting up in north louisana this past weekend near Natchitoches, LA. Over the course of the weekend I saw about 15 bucks and 2 does which is unusual because it was supposed to be towards the end of the rut. Earlier that week I got a fortune cookie that said 'This coming friday will be an exciting day for you'. On friday decemeber 14 I got in the stand at about 6am and it was a cold morning. I sat there for about two hours and all I saw was a couple coons running across the food plots. At about 8:10 I had a small 4 pt walk out and began eating near the feeder. Then a small 6 pt came out as well. Just after that I saw them both look back into the woods. I heard rustling so I looked and all I could see was the big rack through the brush. I immediatley started breathing heavy and had to calm myself down. He walked up to the food plot but wouldn't come out the woods so I decided I would let him walk since I couldnt really grasp how big he was. Right after he had walked back into the woods the two little bucks started sparring. As soon as he heard them playing he came running straight out into the food plot at about 40 yds. I already had my gun up taking pics thru the scope of the little ones. I saw how big he was and dropped my phone and shot at 8:39am. I was overcome with excitement and could barely breathe. After about 20 mins I got out the stand to look for him and I found him about 70 yds from the food plot laying down by a tree. He weighed about 175lbs and will probabaly score about a 120. He will be on my wall in 2 months! Best hunt of my life! I knew the fortune would come true. Happy Hunting!
