You might be on someyhing there! Change up the way we hunt! Dress up in a Santa suit to stay warm, stand out in the opening and watch the deer come to ya! I know onething, if I had a bear walk that close, I would be ******* in my pants. Is that in the camp yard or the woods?

Everybody knows

In the early 80's, my wife and our Brittany spaniel took our annual bowhunting trip to cool. We traveled about 25 miles north of vail, colo. On a4wheel road. I grabbed my bow and headed up the mountain. About half mile away I jumped a large muley buck. As he stotted away, that's what they call that bouncing run they do, he scared a bear that was asleep under a spruce. He got up, stretched, and headed up the mountain, too far for a shot. I hunted till dark then returned to camp. When I got close to my camp I saw my wife had a roaring fire going about 20 feet from the bronco with the door open and standing between it and the fire. Of course I had to growl like a bear. To my surprise she bolted for the bronco and dove in and came out with her pistol!!! Come to find out while she was reading in the tent she heard a growl and our dog got excited like I was back. She unzipped the tent, got out, turned around, and there stood a bear about twenty feet away!!! After I quit laughing i said, well I thought everybody knew black bears were harmless to people. We hadn't been married very long and her family didn't hunt so she said i dang well didn't know that and she didn't think it was so funny then. Needless to say I had to pack up and go to a safer area.

Just got a new computer. When they transferred my data I had 135,000 photos. During hunting season I don't have time to study all so this time of year I do. Last year I was checking to see how much deer like wheat seed and got the idea to set up my Santa. never expected to get these bear pics. Check out the possum also.
