60 TROUT, 13 DRUM, 2 REDS, 12-08-12
Went fishing this am then Sam called me at 9am and wanted to go fishing this pm.I said sure and headed in with 18 Trout,1 Drum.Fishing was a little slow in the am.
Left the dock at 12:45pm with Sam,his son Samuel, and brother Casey.Hit the first couple of spots and had really no tide but it was ready to start coming in.Caught a handful of keepers and a bunch of small throwbacks. The bite this evening and this morning was slow and had a lot of small fish to deal with.
It was a TUFF DAY of fishing today. You earned every fish you caught today( they did not not commit suicide today). We managed a decent box of fish and the drum were everywhere,we even caught 3 Drum over 15 lbs today.I thought we might get them in the last half hour of daylight but it did not happen(they bit better but not fast enough to get the limit.Lil Sam won the honors of biggest fish and as he says ,MOST POUNDS.
Glad Sam made the trip it was enjoyable with him as he is experienced with rigging and undoing tangles.

Thanks Capt. Kim for an enjoyable afternoon and evening in the Delacroix marsh catching some fish. We had a great time. This trip was a perfect example for us experienced fishermen with our own rigs who just like to leave it all behind sometimes and jump on board with an experienced guide like Capt Kim. My attitude has always been: 'You can learn something new on every single trip'. Capt. Kim posted it above just as it was. He tells it like it is. While it wasn't fast and furious for us this afternoon, it was a good, steady bite and we put a really nice box of fish together for about 3 hours of fishing. 60 trout, a couple of nice reds and a bunch of perfecting eating size drum is a good day, all day and any day in my book. Spending a beautiful, warm December Saturday afternoon and evening in the marsh with my son and brother as the sun set over the horizon: Priceless. Thanks again Capt!
