Don't get down

I also have hunted the dularge hunting club, orange grove, wax outlet and pac wma all really great areas to hunt ducks if you ask me. I shot 47 ducks all consisting of mainly ringers and dogries a few teal and a canvasback r two with a grey here and there. Not alot to brag about but at least its something. I think the 2nd split will be a whole lot better well im going to just hope and cross my fingers its better

Started well

I'd have to say that the first split was about par with last year for me. Maybe a little better but killing a lot more grey ducks this year and not so many mallards. So far I've taken 47 birds. We definitely need some COLD fronts to bring down more birds.

Blue-wing teal: 9
Green-wing teal: 6
Grey Duck: 22
Shoveler: 4
Scaup: 3
Wood Duck: 1
Mallard: 1
Pintail: 1

Haven't hunted indian bayou since last year all the hyacinth choked everything off got to annoying. So far we have shot about 30 birds all consisting of greys and teal and one hooded merganser. See plenty of dogris but always pass on those. The birds ive killed this year so far have been out the biloxi marsh and I have only been able to hunt the weekend due to work.

Just my comparison from last year to rhis year, last year seemed like birds everywhere. This year you'll be lucky to see em.

amazing first split

from the looks of my first split, im going to have a record season...86 teal for teal seaon and ove 400 big ducks and a couple geese. despite the warm weather, ducks are still flying very well and the gadwalls are insane..widgeons mallards pintail are thick..

Record Year

You must be hunting west? Near lacassine/Cameron Praire/Sabine? Thats the only area with and real ducks like that I know of.
