Inshore Fishing in Leeville / Golden Meadow in Southeast Louisiana
Tuesday morning me and the wife waited for the storms to pass before heading to Leeville. We finally arrived around 12:00 noon and checked in at Boudreaux's. We loaded up on some minnows from Terry's and hit some points along the west access canal. We found the water a little dirty so we hit the main bayou and at this point haven't even had a bite. We then went to the east side and found cleaner water. The bite finally started around 2:30 and we fished till 5:00. we ended up with 5 Specks around 2 - 2 1/2 pound range, 8 White trout and 2 Reds around 22 inches.
Tuesday morning we woke up to one cold and foggy morning. We started out at a few points close by to Boudreaux's Canal and again not a bite. As the fog lifted some we went back to the east side and fished till about 10:30 with no bite and a strong northeast wind. We went back to Boudreaux's until about 2:00 when the sun came out and started warming up. The tide was beginning to come in and headed back east. We fished till dark and ended up with 8 Specks, 7 White Trout and no Reds.
Hope to make another trip in a couple weeks.
