I recommend Kevin Hynes in Pearl River. His website is taxidermybykevinhynes.com . I researched several taxidermists for a while before deciding on Kevin and I was extremely satisfied. For price and quality of mount you can't beat his work. His turnaround time was awesome as well. He specializes in waterfowl mounts.
Great thanks. I think I'll try him out. I more worried about turn around than anything.
I do a 90 day turnaround and just recieved a mallard in pearl river this morning along with a widgeon , blue wing teal and redhead.. Looks like the good ducks are already here and have great cloration already.
looks us up at beauty of nature taxidermy. Building a full service shop as we speak, price is always reasonable too..
Kevin had my duck ready in 3-4 months. He mounted a drake canvasback for me and I wasn't giving this duck to just anyone to mount because for me its probably a once in a lifetime trophy. I find that his positioning and use of colors on the bill and feet are very natural. Anyways its your choice but i was thoroughly satisfied. Good luck and nice duck by the way.
I got alot of birds mounted by Kevin and he did an awesome job on all of them. I got a wigeon being mounted by him right now...Just some words of advice, when you kill something to get mounted you should not hold it by the bill especially on a big bird because it stretches out the neck. You should hold them by the feet. Nice greenhead though!
I also agree. Kevin has mounted my mallard, green wing, canvasback, woodie, red head, wigeon, pintail and Canadian goose over the last 18 years.Phenomenal job....reasonable price...will post pics later of his work.
Big A, I think I hit that bird....
Haha! Sorry about the cancelled hunt. I wasn't expecting a death in the family. What day are we going to go?
