This is the new Amineica. First, they will tax those who have gone to college, worked hard and have means…only to help those who don’t work and get paid to vote. Next, they will take a portion of our private land from those who have it to let under privileged hunters experience the outdoors.
Anyway, we shot a 2 man limit in the Pearl today…you just have to go far away from the launch. Remember, this entitled society is lazy.

This is why I dont even hunt opening mornings anymore. Its not worth the effort to deal w/ all the A-holes. Teal season was the same thing, people shooting half hour before leagal time and killing wood ducks in droves b/c they cant ID birds.
And it amazes me that there is never a game warden to be found on opening day or any other time, just a little pressure from them on these people would stop alot of that crap. Yet when I went scouting 2 weeks ago I got lectured/harassed by game and fish b/c I had my dog in the boat with me while riding the wma. I'd like to see my money actually go to enforcing game laws.

seen that many trucks at that launch before it was crazy..and then idiots were running around on the wrong side the canal with no lights this morning..and its sad when the shooting starts so ahead of legal time you cant see your decoys...exactly why i hate la sportsman when ppl post where birds are...where they were now

I wonder if people are hunting for food with the bad economy? Maybe that's why there was so many people out there? With so many people unemplyed they may be out there every day shooting birds for the table since they don't have to go to work? We heard all the shooting on the Pearl from our lease and it was 'CRAZY'! I'm a youngster but it was sad to hear all the early shooting :(

I have a camp on the east pearl and have been hunting it hard the last 4 years. This past weekend was the worst I've seen it. There were a few bird when scouting the last few weeks and on youth weekend, but not any more. I'm not exaggerating when I say there were people in every pond. I hunted with anther hunter 100 yds from me sat. and managed to do alright, but by sun the birds were gone or extremely decoy shy ALREADY! I understand people want to have a good time and hunt on a WMA and that's great, but have respect for other hunters, their kids, and nature. Don't go shooting 80 yard shots and sitting on the call all morning, and please obey the rules on a WMA. Hopefully it will settle down there and maybe a few birds will come back. As of this morning all the shooting was south and west on private land without 10000 decoys.
