look i have a hunting spot back at home, Laplace,La. yet i go to school in Lafayette and i am not able to come home except for a few weekends. so when i ask for advice on a new wma that i want to hunt its bc i cant go scout, im 19, and dont have money for scouting trips and gas back and forth to school. i will continue to ask for advice bc thats what this site is for. good-day.

I usually never chime in but ducks337 is what's wrong with people these days & gives me the red ass, and probably voted for Obama......trout tracker asked for some simple advice on where the birds may be, not yout potholes or specific areas, and he's young, cmon man.... Have another bro(337) and quit thinking ur billy bad assss, cause I promise ur not!!!!! This site is where we can share opinions/insight and conjecture......keep it fun man!!! Man i have to agree with carnes, dont give away your hard erned spot you scouted for, but just some general info, like hey the ducks seem to be more on the east side, or like the smaller ponds have been more productive, or if you know of some spot that holds a few ducks but know youll absolutly never hunt it cause its close to the launch or something, give that info and they can scout from there, and atleast it wont be a total bust. this forum was built to help others and give tips to those who may not have the luxuries of living right near water with ease of access. who wants to read nothing but post of people bragging of what they have done, with no info or tips, its useless. hope you change your mind.

i was 19 and in school but i got one of those things called a part time job and worked my butt off so i had money to scout so i could kill ducks. im not downing the young fella just telling him if you wanna kill ducks do a lil hard work and make your own money and scout yourself. you will be a hell of alot prouder killing them than just asking someone to tell you where to go shoot

your not going to tell me what i should do, i have my spots to hunt and kill plenty ducks, i do my fair share of hard work and hunt one of the roughest wmas in the state. i dont need any opinion of yours i was simply asking for advice on a new place before going try, but thanks for the help!

Im in the same boat as Tracker. I have property i can hunt back home, but i am also in school in Lafayette. Its not as easy as you think to just fill the truck up and take off. Very rarely do i have time to do anything but school especially with the curriculum im in. I'd rather ask for advice and help then waste time and money. Unlike most of you guys, we do not have nice paying jobs year around. Internships are only for the summer/christmas break. At $130 to fill my truck up, i'd rather ask a simple question than waste that kind of money.

Ducks337 seems to be the unprepared one. Preparation comes from competence and confidence. I'd say duck thinks he has the latter but is lacking in both.
