Big Trout

No Limits but Catching a few Nice Ones

November finally here and the lake is staring to pile up with life. Bull Reds are under diving birds so make sure to keep your eyes peeled at all times for the slightest bird activity in the lake. Also the trestle is cranking up for its typical fall run of nice trout and flounder. Limits of trout and flounder have not been jumping in the boat with plastic yet this fall but picking a away at 10-20 trout and a few flounder has been more doable. The best bet is to set up with live shrimp carolina rigged and bounce around the causeway and trestle for a mixed bag of Reds, Trout, Flounder, Drum and Sheepshead. The bridges have plenty of life right now and will only get better as month goes on. Look for limits to start coming around thanksgiving. Capt. Jonathan Allen and I hade a trip with Ms. Kristi Mayeux and had a great day of catching bull reds under the birds to go along with 8 solid trout off the tracks. The very new day Capt. Steve Stephen Wicks and I made another decent catching boat 8 real nice trout and a nice flounder on the Trestle again but the big numbers have not shown up yet but look for them after this front. Come see us down at DockSide as it does get any easier to put a few nice fish in the boat as it does right now on the trestle. Until next time 'Good Fishing'

Chas - that's what I call a Super-Smorg of tasty fish! Very informative report.

I've been hoarding my remaining vacation days, waiting for the Fall Flounder Run to begin so I can pounce on Mr Flappy with cat-like reflexes.

See ya Friday

None of those fish in Arkansas but they some striper fishing that many would envy.Several great striper lakes around the state and world class trout fishing in the northern half. Give 'em a try.

No 1 I Know - thanks but I was the one who caught all the Floundereses. The dude on the left was too busy catching Trout on artificials.

I was using finger mullet on a jighead dragged sllooowwwwly along the bottom. 'Slowly, slowly, catchee monkey.'
