Pitch black dark Saturday still catching them!
Ya know if memory serves me rite I did a article just a few weeks back saying trout were on the west side. Jls it is really hard to keep my mouth closed but please quit fishing for reports and get out in the lake and actually find fish. That's what me and jarret did sat and I fished a completely different area in the lake Sunday and smoked them again. If ya put the time in on the water and learn the lake ya mite have a few good trips. So please quit asking where the fish are biting all the time cause that also is getting old!!
tom....99% of what on here is alot BS,Since i've been on this site i have learned few thing from some people&thoses people know who they are, But also No1 gona tell you there hunni hole are take you out for free, I've fished w/a good friend from Golden Meadow Wesley&his Pop, Showed me some new places down there and catchin Trout on Poppin cork w/ Plastic Only,I've caught few on plastic b4&even couple Reds too But nothing like i experienced w/Wesley&Pop, And they went out there way to show me&help me it cost me only my fuel to get there, Not Many People will do that, I offed to pay my way but he said don't worry bout it, So after Meeting another Young Man from Holden, La. off this same site he turn me to South Pass@Manchac&Lake P Specks on Soft Plastic Jiggind it or Bobbin it what ever you wana call it, No i didn't catch my limit But i had good time learning how to do it So to thoses 2 Guys I am Very Thankful
i read a lot of jls bashing on here. i dont know the man, but from what i read in his reports is that he seems very passionate about his fishing. he doesnt seem to limit out when he goes but he does tryand most important to me is he takes his family when he goes. instead of knocking him why not school him a little.i am pretty much like him , not a great fisherman but i keep at it. i may figure it out and then i may not. but i definetly wont ask anyone on this site for any help!
A while back JLS had posted about catching stripers at false river. Other asked where they might be able to catch some and he wouldnt tell. It should be a two way road. I'll tell him every place I've ever caught a fish, but when I ask where he caught fish one time and he don't tell then he deserves to be bashed.
JLS is definitely passionate about fishing, like many others here. I think everyone here has attempted to school him, but he goes and spews BS all day and folks get tired of it. I hope that others continue to seek help on this site, but do so respectfully and with cogent thought--that's all we ask!
Multiple BS posts are like the boy that cried wolf--sooner or later, everyone thinks he is FOS.
Great catch!!!! I'm loving the new Tigerbait also. It outfished my favorites yesterday in Hopedale!
Nightfisher- When are you changing your title to 'Captain?' Hope all went well with your class and good luck to you. Keep up the great reports!!!!
JLS- not sure why I'm offering you advice..... I was away for 15 years and have had to learn to fish Louisiana all over again. I love fishing Lake P but decided on learning another area which is Hopedale. My advice to you is stop asking for spots and learn the area you choose. I only fish artificials and the biggest thing I have learned is to leave my anchor stowed away. The advice I have been told is to stick and move. I keep the Cajun anchor ready if I get on a good bite and the anchor ready if I'm in the lake. In the lake I wouldn't anchor at the bridges unless you are using live bait or find them stacked up. if you are fishing one if the many reefs and you have it to yourself troll around it to find the fish if it has alot of boats pick a spot and anchor or fish somewhere else. Also I will always explore a new 'spot' when I go out. Also I pay close attention to tides. Some areas are better on the fall some on the rise. Also I keep notes of productive areas. Also remember the old saying ' you get more with sugar the with......' I have seen you bash someone in one breath then ask for their help in the next on this site. That is the reason most won't help. Now so you understand I have no ill feelings towards you and if you would like to go fishing sometime I will show you what I've learned. I don't always limit but as I'm in my learning process knowledge is much more important.
Good luck to all and tight lines!!!!
