Catching trout has been pretty easy in Sister Lake lately. Launch at Jugs at end of Hwy 315 and travel south until you reach Grand Pass. (First big 4 way intersection) On the left side of GP is Sister Lake and Lake Mechant is on your right. Turn left into Sister Lake and start looking for diving gulls about 200-300 yds out into the lake from the pass. If none present just navigate around the lake looking for birds until you find some to fish under. For your first trip, this would be your best bet to catch fish until you learn the area better. Yes the trout are showing up in the bayous but I would fish the lakes if you are looking for big numbers. Water temps need to be a little lower to drive the trout northward, couple more weeks!
