I did see the route you mentioned through Hopedale Lagoon. I wasn't sure how deep that area was. I also looked at the Spoil canal and saw where I could go west to Robin. Actually my plan B was exactly what you mentioned. I did fairly well a few weeks back in Stump,Muscle Bay an Pete's. I may explore my plan B and venture out further east past Pete's lagoon. Should have a nice tide on Saturday and warm temps.
My problem is I always get distracted and want to learn new spots. I'm sure if I focus and use my head a little more, I could pick up a nice box of fish from the places I've already been.
Have you done much good in Halfmoon Bay or any of that little area? I love all of that area and find it much more fun to fish than the places I fished before. Saturday can't get here soon enough. Thanks for the input. Good luck to you.

Route from BSM to Robin, Part 1

Route from BSM to Robin, part 2. Two ways after leaving canal.
Many routes (see map graphics below), but the best is the manmade canal just west of BSM. Follow it as it doglegs, then follow the bays and bayous south. WARNING! Bays and bayous have shallow spots in low water conditions, stay on plane!
Look for birds, and fish currents around main passes. Trout also move up in the bayous as it gets cold.
I gave u routes 1 and 3 and dr spot just drew u route 2. If there was no wind I defitely would head out towards lake robin otherwise the knats will kill u in the deep marsh. Unfortunately I found ,y new fishing grounds south of pt a la hache. Just less traffic down there. Good luck if u go out.
Redchaser- just want to give you a heads up. Water is extremely low. Big drop from the dock to the boat. I went yesterday and was shocked at water levels.. Planned on running to robin but decided against it because of the low conditions. Fished the entrance to stump and a few other cuts and managed 20. Had the trailer at the end of the ramp just to load. After our emails I just wanted to let you know what to expect. Glad I put the pushpole in the boat before I left the house, needed it a couple times.
Good luck!
Thanks guys for the input. The tide should be up when I launch this Saturday. I will decide on where I go based on the wind. Thanks for the maps Dr. Spot. I'll post on how we do after I get back. Good luck to everyone this weekend Should be a great weekend to load up on the 'yellow-mouth head shaka'! Tight lines to all.
Hopedale Lagoon is out of the way from BSM but a decent option to fish on the way or back. The dredged section is probably okay (look for pilings marking it) but other areas can get shallow. Once you get out of Hopedale Lagoon, the bayous going to Robin are generally deep.
People take it all the time out of the old Pip's Place. RIP, Pip's, Isaac was the final dagger. Even the parking lot is now mostly a lake, and the owners are gone for good.
Be sure to take a detour and fish the marsh before Robin, too....try some of the bayou curves, they can have lots of drum. Trout could be anywhere in November and December.
Samarai,
The fog on Saturday morning was pretty thick, so I decided against going to Lake Robin & went back to Pete's Lagoon & fished my way back to stump. Managed to find 22 specs and 1 red. It was a great trip to see my son with his new rod and reel catching his first red.The trout were good size, but were scattered here and there. May take my daughter and her fiance this Saturday. I also ventured out towards Treasure Bay pass and found a bayou with some nice trout. The good news is I am learning more with each trip. Thanks for the input.
Hard to describe I just follow routes on GPS but you could run probably three routes to Robin from BSM. First would be down spoil canal and cut west as you get into lake two trees. I usually run down to canal into hopedale lagoon then southeast end of hopedale lagoon which after about two turns will take you to Robin. Have you thought about the biloxi marsh (stump, muscle bay, petes lagoon). If I fished out of BSM, this would be my attack plan. If you are set on fishing robin, I would fish the cuts on the west side into the major bayous or the broken marsh on the south end.
