Inshore Fishing in Delacroix Island in Southeast Louisiana
Slow day in Delacroix
Captain Jack and his crew left the dock at Sweetwater this morning at about 6:30am and headed out in search of Speckled Trout. The water is very low and dirty, but the wind was light and the sun was shining bright making for a most comfortable morning. Their first stop was in Lake John where they reeled in about 15 and then they moved on to MANY other spots catching a few here and a few there. They arrived back at the dock with 33 Specks on board. Other Anglers coming in at Sweetwater brought in 44 Specks caught in Round Lake, but just about everybody’s reports were pretty much the same today, except for one Angler who limited out in Wreck Bay. Captain Jack says the water is much clearer than it was this morning and looks to be getting clearer as the day wears on. The conditions are improving and we have a falling tide in the morning so fishing tomorrow looks promising. Come on down to Sweetwater and we’ll help you go in the right direction. We have charters and lodging available give us a call 504-342-2368.
